Justice Ranjan Gogoi today inaugurated the book titled ‘Justice Shafiqul Haque: Reflections and Juridical Thoughts’ edited by Dr Stuti Deka. The function organized on the occasion at Rabindra Bhawan, Guwahati was attended by 350 invitees which included luminaries of the legal fraternity and senior citizens.

On the occasion, Justice Gogoi also launched the new website of Justice Shafiqul Haque Memorial Initiative with links to an e-journal ” North East e-journal on Juridical Thoughts ” ( justicehaque.org ) which will publish news, articles and research papers related to legal aspect with specific reference to North East India. The journal will be managed by M/s Empyreal Publication in due course of time.

The function was presided over by Justice D N Chowdhury, former Judge of Gauhati High Court.

Earlier Dr.Taufiqur Rahman Borborah, Former Principal of Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh -who was the convenor of the function delivered the welcome address.
